Stuttering Comic

Here is the biography by Jody Fuller. One thing he has done successfully is to laugh at himself and his stuttering, and actually it is laughable.

Growing up in Opelika, Alabama, Jody Fuller had to overcome two things: poverty and stuttering. "If I had a nickel for every time I was made fun of, I would have retired at 12."

His first quarter in college resulted in two withdrawals and one failure. Although a huge fan of pro wrestling, making a WWF that first semester just didn’t cut it, and he knew it was time for a change. That’s when Jody first enlisted in the United States Army.

Jody loves military and loves everything about the military, with the exception of three things: waking up early, shaving, and running. Unfortunately, those are the first three things a soldier does every single day. So, after 8 years of active duty, Jody decided to join the National Guard and chase the dream of being a professional stand-up comic. So far, so good!

Jody overcame the poverty, but the stuttering still gets the best of him.

Whether he talking about stuttering, serving in the army, growing up poor, going to college, or working at a grocery store, his unique perspective will keep you entertained from the moment he hits the stage.

My grandmother always said that if you can’t laugh at yourself, you can’t laugh at anyone. Well, I laugh at myself, so everyone else had better watch out.

He has performed for the troops in the United States, as well as in Iraq, and was recently selected as one of the five finalists in the 2005 Wendy’s Stand Up For Good Taste Comedy Challenge at The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas
